Charity for Annie Jr.
Last semester we were to donate to an organization called Teach a Man to Fish. I am still very excited about that organization and I do plan on donating to them in the future. We did not donate to them because our money was needed elsewhere on a local level. I donated the money to help a needy family set up a child for success. It was my decision to help this family give a step up to one of their kids and I feel very proud that our MZStageworks family could make this happen. I love seeing posts and reading emails about the great things that become of our students and great things that our donations have helped support.
This show I would like to donate to the Atlanta Day Shelter for Women and Children at 655 Ethel St. NW. The Shelter provides daytime shelters for homeless mothers and their kids giving them the tools they need to break free from homelessness. Each woman is met with a Clent ambassador, whois focused on building a relationship, meeting her needs, and casting vision and hope for her future. Services at the Day Shelter include Day Care, showers, laundry, lunch, Marta Cards for medical appointments, medical care, life skills classes, recreational opportunities, documentation (birth certificates and state IDs). They are often in need for toiletry items such as :
Pocket tissues, small nail files, nail clippers, non- melting candy, hair items- combs, brushes, clips, travel size shampoo, conditioners and deodorant. Socks and individually wrapped wet naps are also appreciated.
I feel this is the perfect organization to give to to remind us that we are so blessed and that it feels good to give back. We all can be Daddy Warbucks by helping those in need by doing what we are able.
